After capturing incredible panoramic photos, we begin a 3-hour descent down rugged paths to the site of Huayramachay (3,912m / 12,834ft) for a well-deserved hot lunch. In the afternoon, the landscape transforms rapidly as we leave the alpine tundra and enter the lush, high-jungle cloud forest.
